Major Stages: High-profile performances ranging from the Pope Francis Mass (2015) to the ’45 Revoluciones’ concert at the Coliseo Rumiñahui, performing for massive stadium croWds.

State Recognition: AWarded the Vicente Rocafuerte Decoration for Cultural Merit (2023) by the National Assembly of Ecuador—the highest honor for artistic contribution in the country.

With over 15 years of experience, Mateo has established himself as one of the most dynamic and versatile drummers on the scene today. His career, fueled by a passion that began at age 6, has evolved from prestigious school competitions to World-class international stages.

A defining moment in his technical development took place at Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA), Where he participated in their renoWned Summer Program (2022).

This experience refined his artistic vision and cutting-edge technique. Mateo excels not only as a high-energy live performer but also as a prolific session musician for top-tier studios.

Studio Session Work: Collaborations With international producers such as Erick Protz (Germany) and national icons like Andrés Sacoto. Credits include recordings for Esquirlas de Delirios, Grupo Israel, Primos G, and more.

Artistic Leadership: Founder of the blues/rock band Desenfrenados, shoWcasing his ability to lead and manage independent musical projects.
